Research Interests

Through interdisciplinary training in cultural anthropology, social work, gerontology, and alternative dispute resolution, Dr. Crampton examines the interplay of policy presumptions, professional intervention, and lived experience in conflict resolution and aging. Past research examined elder mediation in Ghana and the U.S. Ongoing projects examine family court mediation in the U.S. and family dispute resolution in Australia. Her newest research explores the “longevity revolution” in population aging as experienced within a long-term care retirement community.
