Kathy Erdman earned her Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Communicative Disorders. She practiced as a school-based speech-language pathologist in several Wisconsin school districts working with children from preschool through high school with primary emphasis on adolescent speech and language therapy. She currently coordinates and supervises public school placements for SPPA graduate students. Her work in the campus clinic focuses mainly on children and includes adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, language and literacy disorders, cluttering and hearing impairment.

Ms. Erdman served as president of the Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association (WSHA) 2004-06 and has had numerous other volunteer leadership roles for WSHA. She played a central role in proposing and initiating the Bilingual English-Spanish certification available for graduate students and assists with recruiting new supervisors for school based bilingual practicum placements.
