Dr. Korabic holds a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Ph.D. in Audiology. He joined the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1979 and has served as the department chair since 1989. Dr. Korabic also serves as the director of the Marquette University Speech and Hearing Clinic and mentors undergraduate students interested in pursuing the Doctor of Audiology degree.

Before coming to Marquette, Dr. Korabic was the staff audiologist at an inner city pediatric health clinic and then completed a Clinical Fellowship (Level 2) at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Syracuse, New York.

In 2004, Dr. Korabic received the Honors of the Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association (WSHA) “for excellence in the areas of education and mentoring, clinical service, research, leadership, and overall service to the profession of audiology.”

Dr. Korabic’s main area of interest is the prevention of noise induced hearing loss. Since 1975, he has been a certified course director for the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).

Dr. Korabic served as an audiology representative to the State of Wisconsin, Department of Safety and Professional Service (DSPS), Hearing and Speech Examining Board.
