PREVIEW Get a head start on university life. Preview gives you the opportunity to meet with academic advisers and learn about academic requirements, course
selection, transfer of credits and registration for the fall term. You’ll also get acquainted with some student organizations and get your questions answered before classes begin in the fall.

ORIENTATION New Student and Family Orientation provide opportunities to learn more about us and discover more about yourself. You’ll hear about the academic excellence, campus unity and community involvement that are Marquette University traditions. Through seminars, group discussions, tours and instructional programs, you will get the latest news about the many services and resources available to you. You’ll find the students, faculty and staff here are prepared to help make you comfortable.

Oh, and about the square dance — it’s a university tradition.

FIRST-YEAR READING The first-year reading project gives all new students a common educational experience that carries on throughout the first semester. The reading and accompanying course work are designed to help you explore your gifts and talents by exploring new perspectives and ways of viewing the world.

YOUR RA, GDL AND FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY Your resident assistant and your group discussion leader are two current students who will get to know you and help you make the most of your transition to Marquette. These folks can offer advice and insight as well as an informal orientation to Marquette and Milwaukee.
