
John Thiede, S.J. (Ph.D. University of Notre Dame, 2012), is a Jesuit from the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in Systematic Theology. His dissertation is titled: The Reality of Martyrdom in the Christology of Jon Sobrino, advised by J. Matthew Ashley.
His interests include Martyrdom, Latin American Theology, Christology, and Political Theology. He is currently working on articles on the future of liberation theology and the homilies of Archbishop Oscar Romero.
