Michael Gillespie, Ph.D.
English Department

Course: English 145 & 165

Description: Dr. Gillespie spent the summer of 2001 learning to create web pages. He used his new found skill to create websites for two of the course he is currently teaching. The course websites are used as a bulletin board, which allows him to post his syllabi and updates and changes in class readings, discussion topics, or related topics. Gillespie used an HTML editor, Adobe GoLive, in the development of his course websites. HTML editors simplify the creation of websites and are very similar to word processing applications.

In the future, he would like to implement an electronic journal and an online discussion.
