Course: English 192
Description: Students taking English 192 are
learning to become writing center tutors, and part
of that process is learning to observe writing center
sessions carefully. I used this PowerPoint presentation
in class to move students from general observations
about what was happening to closer observations of
body language, facial expressions, setting, and overall
tone. Much can be learned just from a group analysis
of still photos; how much more they have learned from
sitting in on real sessions.
