Technology Integration Support

Technology planning is a general term that encompasses a number of services. For instance, using technology to enhance student learning may require the purchase of new hardware and software. Consultants can lend their technical expertise to help faculty members identify and acquire the technology they need to meet educational objectives. One case illustrates this type of service quite well. A pair of professors from the Foreign Language Department is designing a project for their Spanish History course, which requires students to create a multimedia presentation. This will involve the purchase of a multimedia workstation. Technical consultants met with Foreign Language professors to determine their needs and were able to recommend the purchase of necessary hardware and software with very detailed information about the specifications of the various components.
