The Mission of the Diederich College of Communication is to advance knowledge and prepare students for intellectual, artistic, professional, and ethical leadership in a complex technological and multi-cultural world. We are committed to learning that is centered on critical thinking, theoretical development, aesthetic judgment and evaluation, professional skills and standards, socio-cultural impact and relationships, and the ethical and moral questions facing the field. Following the Catholic Jesuit tradition, we apply our resources and talents within an urban setting to improve the lives of our neighbors and the academic and personal lives of each student, staff member, faculty member and administrator in the college.
