Marquette measures student achievement through a number of metrics including retention rates, graduation rates, degrees awarded, post-graduation employment and enrollment in graduate/professional school, and pass rates on licensure exams.

Retention and Graduation Rates

Marquette closely monitors the retention and subsequent graduation of its undergraduate student body. Retention rates measure the percentage of first-time, full-time undergraduate students who re-enroll in subsequent fall terms. Graduation rates measure the percentage of first-tie, full-time undergraduate students who earn a bachelor's degree within a certain number of years. The report below shows how these rates have varied over time and by different student characteristics for first-time, full-time student cohorts.

Completions/Degrees Awarded

Marquette confers degrees at the bachelor's, master's, Ph.D., and professional doctorate levels. In addition, Marquette confers post-baccalaureate and post-master's certificates. The reports below displays the number of completions by academic year along with a breakdown by student characteristics. The report also shows completions by major, minor, and graduate program.

Post-Graduation Outcomes

Marquette captures information from recent graduates to understand what activities graduates are pursuing including employment and enrollment in graduate/professional school. The reports below show post-graduation outcomes at several points in time after graduation.

Graduate Student Time-to-Degree

Marquette looks at how long it takes students to complete their master's and Ph.D. degrees. Of those students who earn their degree, the data below shows what percent complete within a certain number of years.

Graduate/Professional Post-Graduation Outcomes and Licensure Rates

Several of Marquette's graduate/professional programs track program-level information about post-graduation placement and/or pass rates of licensure exams. Some are also accredited by discipline-specific-level accrediting bodies. The student achievement metrics in the links below are specific to the program of interest.
