History: The Sisters of Saint Francis, Clinton, Iowa, organized in Kentucky, 1866, and relocated to Clinton, Iowa, 1890s. They self-identified with the post-nominal initials, “O.S.F.” and staffed Immaculate Conception School (Iowa), Rulo, Nebraska, 1918-1933, which served Native American students (Iowa) near the Iowa Reservation.
