History: Good Shepherd Church, East Carbon City, Carbon County, Utah, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Diocese of Salt Lake City (Archives: Salt Lake City, Utah). Salt Lake City diocesan priests at Good Shepherd attended to St. Joseph Church, Monticello, 1947-1953, a parish that had some Navajo and Paiute Indian parishioners.
