The Opus College of Engineering Peer Mentoring Program is designed to help current students navigate their first and second years on campus. This program provides an opportunity for students to connect with student leaders for advice and stories on how to succeed as engineers.

Students are encouraged to ask academic, social and professional questions, or just start a discussion about their experiences.

Topics include:

  • Instructor and course advice
  • What to expect in future courses
  • Homework and study tips
  • Resources and help to consider at Marquette and beyond
  • Healthy habits
  • Weekend activities and social advice
  • Co-op, internship, or research advice
  • MORE!

How to meet:

Students are encouraged to schedule time with the peer mentors directly. We recommend students:

  1. Read through the 2023 peer mentors below
  2. Pick a mentor to meet with and contact them via email to set up an appointment
  3. Share your availability via email and communicate directly to find a time

Students can also email Sam Sowl, assistant director of academic advising with questions.
